08.02.2014 First review of '7x7'

From Chris Spector, Midwest Record:

"All these cats are working in a hot house atmosphere side by side on a regular basis but they don’t often get to play together. The second outing by this bunch of leaders banding together as a unit finds them right in step with the great leaders of the past that would do dates like this. Playing with and off each other, digging into each others tunes, it sounds like Brooklyn is going to explode as the next epicenter of jazz. Using their diversity as a plus, this set brings the future of jazz into pretty fine focus. Well done throughout."

08.02.2014 New BJU album out Aug 26, 2014. Available for pre-order now.

We are proud and excited to present out new collective musical effort; our 2nd album as one unit, the album '7x7', which is released on Brooklyn Jazz Underground Records on August 26th, 2014.

It is now available for pre order on our Bandcamp site:, and we also hope that you come to our two release concerts:

Aug 14th, 9:30pm, @ Shapeshifter Lab in Brooklyn, and Aug 15th, 8 & 9:30pm, @ An Die Musik in Baltimore.
