Dan Pratt has the rare talent of writing tunes that bring out the strongest qualities of himself and his sidemen. The result is a band whose communication is instinctive and whose unity is undeniable. A band fronted by sax and bone, heard through the filter of the classic rhythm section of Hammond B3 organ and drums, and just as modern today as it was in the days of Jimmy Smith and Larry Young. That band is DPOQ.

Tenor saxophonist and bandleader Pratt has been called "the complete package" by world-renowned bassist Christian McBride, adding that "besides being one of the most tremendous new saxophonists around today, he is quite an exciting composer as well."? Pratt pens most of the Dan Pratt Organ Quartet's repertoire, with additional pieces by trombonist Alan Ferber and organist Jared Gold. Driven by the steady pulse of drummer Mark Ferber, these compositions engage the audience, drawing them into the experience with the band.
